Twas the night before travel and all through the house,<\/p>\n
No one was resting as Mom ironed her blouse.<\/p>\n
The luggage was placed at the end of the stairs<\/p>\n
Everyone’s hustling to travel by air.<\/p>\n
The children were jumping and diving on beds<\/p>\n
With no thoughts of sleeping had entered\u00a0 their heads.<\/p>\n
With Mom in a tizzy and Dad as a grump,<\/p>\n
He threw down the suitcases and they landed with a thump.<\/p>\n
When out from the street there arose such a clatter<\/p>\n
Dad sprang into action to see what was the matter.<\/p>\n
Alas! It is true and he started to yell<\/p>\n
The snowplows are scraping and all is not well!<\/p>\n
The moon was shining on the new fallen snow<\/p>\n
And Dad was screaming “At 2AM we must GO!”<\/p>\n
Mom turned on a dime and she did exclaim<\/p>\n
“What are you saying? Are you truly insane?”<\/p>\n
To leave so early we will get no sleep!<\/p>\n
The kids will be grouchy and much trouble they’ll reap.<\/p>\n
I’m sure that the roads will be quite clear.<\/p>\n
And by morning, you will feel much calmer, my dear.<\/p>\n
But, the dad’s brain was thinking and was very quick.<\/p>\n
He turned to the computer and to the mouse gave a click.<\/p>\n
A good night’s sleep was required before they departed.<\/p>\n
So they could all have some rest before the holiday trip started.<\/p>\n
First airport, then dates, and when they would return<\/p>\n
A click of the mouse and the choices were learned.<\/p>\n
With many hotels it took only a minute<\/p>\n
To make a selection for a hotel and stay in it.<\/p>\n
Dad\u00a0 yelled to Mom “Let’s hurry and pack.<\/p>\n
I found a solution so no sleep we shall lack.”<\/p>\n
So up the stairs the parents did race.<\/p>\n
Grabbed all the kids and to the car they made haste.<\/p>\n
The airport was about two hours away<\/p>\n
Mom said “Honey, we will need Santa’s sleigh!”<\/p>\n
The snow was falling, but Dad was not worried.<\/p>\n
He knew that tomorrow he would not have to drive in the flurries.<\/p>\n
Dad made a reservation through ParkSleepFly.com<\/p>\n
They could get more sleep than if they stayed at home<\/p>\n
And left quite early and be grumpy all day.<\/p>\n
Instead they had a warm place to stay.<\/p>\n
They checked into the hotel and made arrangements for the shuttle<\/p>\n
And all went to bed quick, on the double.<\/p>\n
They soon were all rested and ready to go.<\/p>\n
And Dad got some nice sleep instead of driving in snow.<\/p>\n
They could leave the car at the hotel and not worry<\/p>\n
And pick it up later when they returned from their journey.<\/p>\n
The shuttle would take them and bring them back<\/p>\n
along with all their luggage that they had so carefully packed.<\/p>\n
Dad was quite happy with the money he saved.<\/p>\n
“The quality and value was something!” he raved.<\/p>\n
The price was great and any worry was for naught.<\/p>\n
It was cheaper than staying at the airport parking lot.<\/p>\n
